Roulette
While some get upset to think that you can't just plop down a chip and WIN BIG. We want to have the game make money and not become too boring. This is to prevent "I Keep losing all my money, or I have won so much its not fun anymore." Watching the numbers carries over for those that actually do go to Casino's. You have to be able to determine the best bet.
Quoted from Hoyle Won.net
"Roulette is a casino gambling game that uses a special wheel and betting layout. A dealer spins the wheel and drops a small ball into it, and the ball comes to rest in one of the sections of the wheel." For Hoyle's short intro on how to play please see.
If you do visit Casino's and have question, ask the dealer how to play. If the dealer is friendly, they will take the time to talk with you. If they are friendly take time to tip them, they work by the hour and from tips. Some times those tips equal their wages. If they are Unfriendly walk away..... Your money is safe in your pocket....
I'm going to present some things to consider. Mostly they are common sense.
RULES:
First Rule - is NEVER bet more than you can stand to lose three times in a row.
With that idea in mind, it is better to win more times over a longer term. You can always increase the size of your bet as your money (stake) increases. But, Always see Rule #1
Second Rule - Set the table/betting limits that follow the first rule. or take a look at my Strategy page for setting betting limits.
Third Rule - The LONGER You stay at a table, the more the odds increase against you. This is where the Casino's make there money. You made the big win and thought you could make more. That is why the smile when they pay the win..
If you lose three - five times in a row, then you should go find a new table. Your stake may not outlast the losing streak.
Forth Rule - You have 30 seconds to place your bets.
Dealers try to work on a regular schedule (spins/hour) to increase the profit. The computer uses a clock to generate a random number. Anything you can do to make it "regular" is in your advantage.
The more complex the bet ( the longer it takes you to place the chips) the faster that clock runs.
Fifth Rule - You can skip a turn if it don't feel just right. Remember Rule #1
Sixth Rule - When you are winning avoid the urge to increase your bet. You can easily exceed rule #1 in a single turn.
Seventh Rule - When you do visit a Casino, Listen and Watch. You will hear many sounds and be able to observe how the players are doing. The table where people are winning money you will here chit chat and laughter. The Dealer may even be talking with the players. If is sounds Dead it probably is and you won't win. Even at a table where players are winning money the Casino is still making money, don't be fooled. Some players complement other players, one bad attitude can ruin it for everyone. Move to the next table. If by chance the game you want to play you are the only person at the gaming table set your chips down and strike up a conversation with the dealer. Others may stop and sit down, As they are ready the you and the other player(s) will start the play. Don't let the dealer push you, they get paid by the hour and tips when the players win. If the dealer is good and the your are winning tip the dealer (tips could equal his wages)..
Notes:
- I find that if you let the 30 second timer run down, even if after your bet is placed. The table tends to become more regular and predictable. Real tables have a timetable where the dealer works the bets and spins the wheel, a dealer has a rhythm that tends to make the numbers somewhat predictable.
- A history of the most recent numbers appears above the Roulette table. Watch this to help predict areas of the table to bet on remember you are playing the Percentages.
- At Won.net, I have never seen 0 or 00 ever hit. Unlike a roulette table in a casino.
