Roulette bets and odds.

There are many different types of bets available in Roulette. Different bets pay off different odds. What we will look at is a potential way to make the game pay for you or what it takes to double your money/stake.

The chips in the illustration below are examples of the different types of bets you can place on the Hoyle Roulette layout. The chip layout is illustrated to show the percentage bets in the table below.

These examples provide the percentages WON when you are reading the table correctly. This all depends on your watching analyzing and guessing which way the table is going to go watch the numbers in the window or the table. You might also want to consider repeating numbers or combinations on the Won net tables. I wont list those but you can see what ones tend to repeat or have the tendency of following a certain number.

Outside bets

We start with the 50:50 bets double your money.

Black, Red, Odd, Even, 1-18, 19-36

• Pay 1 to 1.

Of course this depends on your reading the table (Black- Red, Odd - Even, 1-18 or 19-36)

Dozen bets: 1st 12, 2nd 12, 3rd 12

• Pay 2 to 1.

As you see the number running in the vertical columns you bet the two most frequent columns. This pays 33% If you bet $10,000 on each column the win would be $30,000 net result would be $10,000 won.

Column bets

• Pay 2 to 1. Place a chip in a box at the end of one of three columns.

As you see the number running in the horizontal columns you bet the two most frequent columns. This pays 33% If you bet $10,000 on each column the win would be $30,000 net result would be $10,000.

Inside bets

Split bets

• Pay 17 to 1. Place a chip in between any two adjacent numbers to bet on both of those numbers.

A $120,000 bet results in and $180,000 win Net result $60,000 win. Watching the table to predict whether it running vertical or horizontal three wins doubles your money.

Quad (Corner) bets

• Pay 8 to 1. Place a chip between any four number groupings (for example 1-2-7-), and you get all four numbers in that group.

A $60,000 bet pays $90,000 win the net result would be $30,000

Street (Trio or Three number) bets

• Pay 11 to 1. Place a chip on the horizontal line across the top of the layout on any of the twelve columns of three numbers. You get all three numbers in that street.

A $100,000 bet pays $120,000 win, The net result would be $20,000 5 wins doubles your money.

Double Street (Six number) bets

• Pay 5 to 1. Place a chip in between streets that are side by side to get all six numbers in the double streets.

A $50,000 bet pays $60,000 win, The net result would be $10,000 5 wins doubles your money.

Straight up bets

• Pay 35 to 1. Place a chip on any single number.

$240,000 bet results in $360,000 win. Net win of 120,000 pays 33%

Quint bet

• Pays 6 to 1. The only possible five number grouping in the Roulette layout is 0-00-1-2-3. Place the chip on the upper horizontal line between the 00 and 3. This bet favors the house by more than 7 percent.
